The Colonial Theatre Tea Garden

The beauty spot of downtown Richmond was, in 1921, the Tea Garden of the brand-new Colonial Theatre. Herein, we recreate the essence of elegance, joy and hauteur that was once found in Virginia's first real picture palace. Bathtub gin is available at the top of the grand ramps.

Aha. The blog seems to have returned to existence; it got lost in cyberspace for a while. Damn, that was close.

I had also put in a service request to the folks at Blogger, but the site was back up by the time I got a response.

The response itself ran something along the lines of, "I see you've fixed the problem yourself." Ummm... no, I didn't do squat. But yes, it's fixed, so I suppose there's no point in dwelling on it now.

(The problem apparently affected a lot of bloggers, so I suspect it was fixed with some kind of mass-restore from backup.)

Well, the good Volk at Blogger first told me to try a various regimen of things that didn't really apply at all, but then I got a message from a real live person to tell me that they'd fixed it. Props to the Blogger staff for a) fixing the problem and b)sending a personal response. If there were still a Miller and Rhoads in the world, the Blogger staff would be worthy of it.
